The new Ayatollah has vowed to retaliate for every Iranian life killed. Should Americans here at home be concerned about the possibility for domestic terrorism? >> I've seen some of the intelligence and I think Americans need to be concerned. Certainly, we need to be vigilant, not fearful, but reassign the FBI and the Department of Justice counterterrorism staff to do that work and stop obstructing the flow of information to local and state police enforcement, which the administration has done. We need to be concerned. We need to be vigilant, not panicking, but the intelligence indicates that certainly the Iranians will take advantage of every weakness. >> Senator, 40 40 hours ago after a closed door meeting with the administration, you were you sounded frustrated and you said you had many questions that were not answered, specifically about troop deployment in Iran during this conflict. Senator Hovind, which we spoke to a few minutes ago, he said he hasn't heard any indication of the administration wanting to deploy troops in Iran. >> Who spoke to you? >> Senator Hovind. >> And what did he say? >> He said he hadn't heard any indication that the Trump administration wants to deploy troops in Iran. Well, the briefing I received which was classified, I can't go into the details, but right now the administration has a number of desperate, >> sometimes contradictory goals which it simply cannot achieve on the current path forward and it needs to explain to the American people when it will end, how with what kind of exit strategy. Right now there is futility built into the conflicting objectives that the administration has without the planning that is necessary for example to enable oil traffic to go through the straight of Hormuz. They are telling us they're workshopping and trying to find solutions to enable oil to go through the straight of Hormuz when the world economy is going to be cratering if we don't have that resource. >> I'm sure you've seen videos in Iran where people are chanting Javicha. They're chanting um slogans in support of the crown prince in Iran. You've met the crown prince many times uh here in Congress. What is your take about the future of Iran, the future of leadership in Iran? And do you think it is realistic to think that the regime is falling? Every indication is that the IRGC remains in total dictatorial control and the new leader who has lost his father and his family is set on revenge along with the current regime. So I think we need to be mindful about the threat both within our country to domestic terrorism and from outside because Iran will continue to have drones. Right now the drone supply and manufacturing seems to be continuing and I'm very worried that continued terrorism in the region will result from the combination of revenge and capacity.
